Good questions

Before you call

Composite or pressure-treated wood?
Composite costs more up front and needs almost no maintenance. Pressure-treated wood costs less and looks great, but wants a stain or seal every few years. Ryan will price both so you can decide.
Can you rebuild on my existing deck frame?
Sometimes. If the framing and posts are sound, a re-deck with new boards and railings saves money. If they're not, Ryan will show you why and quote a proper rebuild.
Do decks need a permit?
In Kent and most Summit and Portage County cities, yes. Ryan tells you what your city requires and handles the details so the deck is built to code.
When is the best time to build?
Spring through fall is the busy season, so getting on the schedule early helps. Some builds can happen in cooler months too.
